New Yorker alert! I... will... NEVER enjoy a NY hot dog again that was absolutely f'in delicious! Perfectly charred and Chicago style is mandatory! What's sauerkraut?!
Also the ladies working this evening were absolutely delightful! I cannot wait to come back!
Definitely stay and eat your wieners or the bun might not last on your travels! -

Wow. We got here around 7pm and before the "night crew" and laughed with the gal behind the counter because she was so incredibly nice. I was asking her how she could possibly be anything but nice and she laughed. She said she goes home before the night chaos starts. She did pose for a picture for us. She was flipping us off with a big smile. Soooo very funny.
The hot dogs were so good that we went back for more. I got the charred Chicago dog minus the pickles and relish. Yeah, I know. It's not a Chicago dog without the pickles but I don't like pickles. My husband got the full Chicago dog and said the pickles were really good.
The French fries are made from scratch--yes, real potatoes. Fantastic and I'm not a big fry fan.
This is a definite do over. I'm not sure when I will be back to Chicago but when I do, I will be right here having a dog.
I e heard it can get pretty "rude" here (it's a game they play) so if you are not into that, come before the antics begin. -

Took my daughter here on an impromptu "mother-daughter day" and forewarned her about the employees being mean and rude and to be ready! I was completely taken aback because the woman behind the counter helping us was a complete sweetheart! I didnt know how to feel about that at first because I wanted someone to be mean to us! So is that now how it's supposed to be here any more?
So I got over that and accepted the fact that we were getting awesome service. The lady was really a sweetheart and engaged with my daughter right away, offered her some pink lemonade on the house, and was really very nice! She made sure we knew that it was free refills also.
I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and my daughter got a plain char hotdog. Their fries here are BOMB. So so good. Perfectly crisp but not burnt, and so tasty! The fries come with ketchup and this cheddar cheese sauce. I wasnt a huge fan of the cheese sauce as the texture was a little odd to me. It wasnt flowy like normal cheese sauce. It was a bit thick amd and not that creamy. It was alright with the fries but they also put it in on my cheeseburger. I thought i was getting the traditional slice of cheese when i picked "cheddar cheese" but I got the sauce on my burger instead.
The burger itself was pretty good. Not the best charburger I've had, but it was good. I would come back just for the fries alone! But overall, a good hotdog joint. -

Chicago staple, so I had to give it a try. This place lives up to the hype! Chicago chardog (that means it has vegetables and is charred on the grill). Bun was super soft and it was made to order. I included two pictures so you could see the presentation, as well as the goodness!
I also tried their cheddar char burger, no judgement b!+ch3z! I loved the burger! It has cheese wiz and your choice of veggies, including grilled or raw onions. I went without for my first run.
Buns were soft and toasted, veggies were fresh and crisp. If you go to the McDonald's across the street instead of this place, then you must be a Sox fan!
Next time I'll try the fries, as they seemed to be a hit with the crowd! -

This was one of our stops on national hot dog day. The place is tiny, it has no restroom and the menu is a joke. Well technically everything is a joke except their hotdogs. I asked for a bathroom and they told me to go home take a bath and then come back and order a hotdog. Found a restroom and came back. We stared at the menu for a bit and one of the chicks told us "hurry the f up they aren't that many options" we joked backed and forth and had a good time.
I went with a classic chicago hotdog and I was not disappointed.
Get a shake!
